When you first launch VideoStudio, you'll see the home screen. You can go to "Capture" to record your screen, webcam or import footage from physical media.

Click on "Edit" to enter the main editing screen. At the bottom is the timeline section. Topright is your library and options panels and on the left is the video preview pane. You can see your media library in the middle of the library folder icons.

You can try using a template to speed things up with a new edit. Click the templates icon and then select the instant project option. You can drag and drop your preferred template to the timeline.

Instant projects have placeholder graphics. Click the one you want to replace. Go back to your media library and drag the clip you want to replace it with while holding down "ctrl".
